Bird Mountain

Just across the fjord from Skrolsvik is the Sundsvollsundet Nature Reserve. Located on the southern side of Helløya it is approximately 20 min with boat from Skrolsvik.

The nature reserve was established on June 4, 2004 to provide protection for the bird mountain and its wildlife. The western part of the area is home to the largest colony of crutches in Troms. European shag , European herring gull and Black guillemot are other species of birds that have habitats in the nature reserve.

The trip starts in Skrolsvik with safety briefing and information before we journey across the fjord towards the bird mountain and nature reserve. In addition to the bird mountain we stop by som beautiful spots and do a sightseeing around the rest of Helløya before heading back to Skrolsvik.
